We are currently seeking a Land Surveying Technician to fill an immediate position with our surveying department in Boise. This position will support our Survey Team to complete land surveys, subdivisions, stake-outs, public infrastructure projects, private land development projects, and local and state permitting.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Member of a field survey crew to perform ALTA, boundary, topographical surveys, and construction staking.
  • The major objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity, meets regulatory requirements, public relations) of work, safety, meeting schedules, and responsive service to clients.
  • Maintain safe work environment, protect, and maintain the equipment and vehicles, accurately and efficiently help collect field data and locating features, deliver data to the office, and maintain accurate records of work and expenses.
  • Requires walking outside year-round through all kinds of terrain and in extreme weather.
  • Able to lift and carry 50 pounds of equipment or supplies throughout a daily shift.

Job Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidates would have 1 year of field surveying experience including topographic, construction staking, boundary, and data collection preferred.
  • Proficiency with survey equipment (total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment) a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record required as travel may be required.
